In Henderson, Bernard Tjordman, owner of Bernard’s Bistro at Lake Las Vegas, said 130 people attended a dinner Saturday commemorating the Titanic sinking.

Bursts of verdant vegetables add bounce to season’s meals

Vegetables are a good start to meals. While summer, with its abundance of fruits, is a great time for desserts, Mark LoRusso, executive chef of Botero at Encore, said the verdant vegetables of spring shine in appetizers that are a great way to kick off a meal. Other chefs agree, including K.C. Fazel at Tender Steakhouse at Luxor.
