What should Las Vegas’ proposed hockey team look like? — POLL
October 29, 2015 - 12:31 pm
It hasn’t been announced yet, but the odds are pretty good that Las Vegas will get an NHL franchise sometime this winter.
If that happens, we keep hearing from prospective owner Bill Foley that he really likes “Black Knights” for a team name.
Apparently, so do some artists on the web. A number of them already have posted prospective uniform designs on various websites before a team has been awarded, let alone a nickname announced.
Both Sparky Chewbarky and a rendering for The Score sports website have offered what appear to be the best uniform designs for a team to be called the “Las Vegas Black Knights.”
So let’s play a game of “What if:” If Las Vegas gets a franchise, and if the franchise is called the “Black Knights,” which of these uniform designs would you vote for the players to wear.
Sorry, “I don’t like the nickname” is not an option. You should’ve voted when we asked.
First, here’s the all-black offering from The Score:
Second, here’s the first of two designs from Sparky Chewbarky with a Knights helmet as the main logo, including a video:
The third option, is Sparky Chewbarky’s second option: A Black Knights uniform that uses a sword as the primary logo:
Editor’s note: None of these designs have been approved by Bill Foley’s ownership group or the NHL.
