No sympathy for a convicted drug dealer

Regarding Debra J. Saunders’ Sunday commentary: She is quick to play the sympathy card by reminding us that Alice Marie Johnson is a “63-year-old grandmother.” We should all consider, however, the unknown number of lives affected or destroyed by Ms. Johnson’s “intent to distribute cocaine.”
Certainly there are discrepancies in sentencing. But a drug dealer does not have my sympathy.
