LETTER: We have become numb

Once again a mass shooting that would have been front-page news years ago warrants only a blurb on page six (Sunday Review-Journal). A shooting at a grocery store in Arkansas that killed four people and wounded nine others is so normalized that only 81 words are buried behind news about the NHL. But, hey, let’s go with the NRA-backed GOP plan of offering thoughts and prayers.
