LETTER: The needless death of a young child in car

Regarding the death of that child locked in a hot car (Oct. 6 Review-Journal): Why should a police officer have to ask permission to break a car window to save a life? Change the law. I’m sure the father waited long enough before contacting the police. I hope the charge is murder.
