LETTER: The coronavirus death rate

The Associated Press reported that the number of Americans infected with the coronavirus could be 10 times higher than the official numbers. If so, the ratio of infections to deaths would be somewhere around one-third of 1 percent. If that is the case, our socioeconomic nightmare could end up being the most grotesque overreaction in history.
