LETTER: Remember this childless cat man

Memo to JD Vance on childless cat ladies: George Washington, the father of our country, was childless. He obviously was not a lady. His attitude toward cats is unknown. But Mount Vernon had tremendous stores of grain to feed its owners and slaves. Cats were employed to keep the rodent population under control. So two out of three — not bad.
