In response to the Sept. 30 letter on pot lounges: I can only hope that any individuals who walk out of the proposed handful of Las Vegas marijuana lounges will be as responsible as those who walk out the hundreds of bars, lounges, nightclubs, casinos, etc., on a daily/nightly basis. There’s not much we can do unless we close them all down.
Frankly, if I had kids at Columbia who participated in these “protests,” I’d yank them out of school, toss their stuff onto the lawn and tell them to get a job, go live in the real world and pay your own way.
In the 2020 election, Mr. Biden ran on promises he has failed to keep. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

The American people need to recognize that the November election could be to determine which vice presidential candidate may shortly become president.
The functional reality is that members of Congress need to keep Social Security alive or they will be voted out of office.
I would bet on Brightline. If they don’t succeed, it will only be because said great state of California got in the way.
