In his July 3 letter, Glade Barlow is entirely correct that the advent of human construction and living in the Vegas Valley has raised temperatures locally. However, an examination of average temperatures statewide or even regionally within this part of the United States will show him that local urban growth is not the reason for this temperature increase.
