LETTER: High gasoline prices aren’t all bad

The higher gasoline prices will force us to walk more and drive less. This will save money and improve health and air quality. We can arrange carpools and ride-sharing, too. This brings to mind the earlier efforts to stem pollution and waste: Reduce, reuse and recycle — three practices that can greatly benefit the environment if most of us would do them — and yes we can.
