LETTER: GOP claims in Silver State don’t hold water

In response to Adam Laxalt’s Nov. 17 commentary, I can guarantee that if Nevada had been called for Donald Trump, Mr. Laxalt would not be saying a word about election integrity.

His righteous indignation is laughable. He and other state Republicans are simply trying to overturn Joe Biden’s win in Nevada, in which he won by more than 30,000 votes. This is not Florida 2000 where the margin was 537 votes. Also, no evidence has been presented of widespread voter fraud anywhere in the United States, including Nevada.

Mr. Laxalt’s behavior is anti-democratic and embarrassing to our state.

So more than three years after the riot, the government is still using taxpayer money and manpower in its vendetta to ferret out Donald Trump supporters.

LETTER: Columbia kids need to learn to pay their own way

Frankly, if I had kids at Columbia who participated in these “protests,” I’d yank them out of school, toss their stuff onto the lawn and tell them to get a job, go live in the real world and pay your own way.

LETTER: Here’s the real threat to democracy

In the 2020 election, Mr. Biden ran on promises he has failed to keep. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
