LETTER: Donald Trump had a little help with all the indictments

In his Saturday letter, Edward Mikula claims Donald Trump has no one to blame for his legal problems than himself. If that’s the case, he’s had a lot of assistance from dishonest prosecutors and attorneys general.

Mr. Mikula forgets that Mr. Trump is a businessman — a successful one to boot. All successful business people have a little larceny in their hearts, but that doesn’t mean the government and Department of Justice go after them with jail terms. Having served on a federal grand jury and numerous petit juries in several states, I know it is widely agreed that a shrewd and vindictive district attorney and/or prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich.

Before being judge, jury and executioner, let Mr. Trump have the trials and his constitutional due process and let’s see the verdicts.

LETTER: Red Rock development ‘compromise’ is depressing

Red Rock Canyon is a fragile natural wonder. To claim that 3,500 homes and the traffic that goes with them, and changing the nature of the watershed, will not negatively impact the area is absurd.

It’s strange that the mainstream media are treating Russian combat ships miles off the Florida coast as nothing to see here.

LETTER: Columnist gaslights about Donald Trump

Mr. Trump would have not won if his affair with Stormy Daniels had been made public after the “Access Hollywood” tapes in which Mr. Trump brags that he grabs women by the genitals.

LETTER: A balanced approach on the energy transition

We will never be free of fossil fuels. A balanced approach is needed. Politically doctrinaire positions on both sides won’t help us resolve the current problems.

I contend that the gas produced by the City Council is worse than anything the common folk could ever think of.
