A Red Flag air combat exercise commenced at Nellis Air Force Base this week, bringing in personnel and warplanes from all over the United States. Foreign nations Colombia and the United Arab Emirates  also participated in the exercise, which is meant to simulate real-time air combat over the Nevada desert.
