Care fair and town hall meeting for veterans set for Saturday

Rep. Cresent Hardy, R-Nev., and the Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System will co-host a care fair and town hall meeting for veterans Saturday at the VA Medical Center in North Las Vegas.

Hardy’s second annual Veterans Care Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the VA hospital, 6900 N. Pecos Road, North Las Vegas. Veterans and their families can visit 30 information booths and discuss such issues as housing, managing post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention and health care opportunities.

Hardy will join VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System Director Peggy Kearns on a panel with other veterans officials to field questions at the hospital’s town hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
