I just read your article and enjoyed it very much. I was one of those whose parents were not ashamed to admire me. They convinced me that I was the best or at least very close to being the best — and I was. Consequently, I had no real reason to push myself.

Pools plan last splashes for summer

Two valley water parks plan to open their pools to pooches Sept. 14 to mark the end of the swimming season. The Desert Breeze Aquatic Center and Black Mountain Aquatic Complex will have open swim times for large and small dogs.
