Garlic either soft or hard necked

I’ve seen garlic at outdoor markets where the garlic is actually braided.

There are two basic types of garlic, hard-neck and soft-neck garlic. The soft-neck will allow you to braid it, while the hard-neck will not. We can grow both extremely well in Southern Nevada.

We will tie the garlic together in bunches and let them hang to dry in the shade outside for a week or two for curing. Then they are ready for storage. Ideal storage for garlic is at low temperatures and low humidity.
