Apple production time varies

Question: I live in Summerlin and have a Bartlett pear tree. I wish to plant an apple with a harvest time far from the Bartlett pear so I don’t have too much fruit at once. Which apple varieties would be best? I have received conflicting information from local sources.

You can go later in harvest, which would be late November and early December, or you can go earlier. If you go later, Pink Lady apple should be about a month after Bartlett pear. If you go earlier, you could plant Anna or Golden Dorsett as a good early apple.

Both Anna and Golden Dorsett are mild, yellow apples. Pink Lady is a more tart, red apple. Anna and Golden Dorsett are good apples — not great but good. I tend toward Golden Dorsett for an earlier apple based on taste. Pink Lady is a great apple.
