The biggest name in water park fun has returned to Southern Nevada with the upcoming grand opening of Wet ’n’ Wild Las Vegas. Positioned to be Nevada’s premier water park, it will be the place for thrill-seekers and families to create lasting memories in a safe and refreshing way to beat the heat.
The multimillion-dollar park has more than 25 slides and attractions for all ages, including:
n Rattler — This four-person ride is a first-of-its-kind slide in North America, taking riders through a series of twists and turns on their descent of more than 360 feet to the splash down pool. Two “rattles” shake them back and forth, delivering sensational oscillations .
n Constrictor — This attraction has been voted a Top 5 water slide by the Travel Channel’s 2012 Extreme Water Parks program. Riders will slip and slide their way into the belly of the snake on a multiperson raft, taking on the world’s tightest turns. They will speed down the enclosed flume into a series of corkscrew turns, snaking back and forth in spirals at speeds up to 18 mph.
n Canyon Cliffs — Two ultimate thrill slides, ideal for adrenaline seekers, begin more than six stories (or 60 feet tall) in the air. Riders will plummet into a gut-wrenching, heart-pounding almost vertical drop and accelerate to speeds up to 33 feet per second.
n Desert Racers — From six stories high, this 360-foot raceway speeds riders, head first, on racing mats down six lanes of slides at speeds of more than 20 feet per second.
n Hoover Half Pipe — This category five river rapid experience has all the fun of whitewater rafting. There’s an unexpected 57-foot drop before the raft goes vertical, shooting up the Hoover wall and sending riders back down and experiencing sheer weightlessness before exiting into calm waters below.
To take full advantage of all Wet ’n’ Wild has to offer, two different season pass options are available with discounts for purchasing four or more. Gold Pass benefits include free parking, Bring-A-Friend Free on designated days, five free tube rentals throughout the season and more.
For a nominal fee, the new Xpress Band allows guests to reserve their place for some rides without having to stand in line.
There is special pricing for groups of 25 or more and areas for private events, company gatherings, birthday parties and family reunions. Email groupsales@wetnwildlasvegas.com for details.
