The Dish: Triple George offering power lunch

Triple George Grill, 201 N. Third St. in downtown Las Vegas, has introduced a prix-fixe power lunch menu, with four courses served bento-box-style plus a soft drink, iced tea or coffee. It includes a half-sandwich, soup or salad, side dish and dessert, for $15.99, with all courses served together to expedite the process.

Tickets are on sale for Flavors of the Heart, set for 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 20 at the World View in Building B of the World Market Center, 475 Grand Central Parkway. About 25 local restaurants are expected to participate; tickets, which are $75 per person or $140 per couple (with discounts for larger groups), are available at www.FlavorsOfTheHeart.com. The first 100 people who buy tickets will receive a box of chocolates. Proceeds will benefit the local programs of the American Heart Association. …

The next in the Gus’ Beer &Bites dinner series at The Pub at Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Roy’s Restaurant, 620 E. Flamingo Road, has scheduled a five-course Pacific Rim dinner for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. With dishes such as prawn and peach nigiri, ahi tataki and pandan and coconut cream, the dinner, with wine pairings, is $75, plus tax and tip. Call 702-691-2053. …

Cocktails for a Cause, benefiting the March of Dimes, is 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Blvd. Cocktail Co. at The Linq, 3435 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event will feature live music and a special cocktail, the First Lady ($14), made with Art of the Age Sage, lemon juice, maraschino liqueur, creme de cassis and egg whites, and $1 for every cocktail sold will be donated to the March of Dimes. …

The next tequila dinner at El Segundo Sol at Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The five-course dinner, with an entree of slow-roasted duck taco and grilled beef tenderloin, is $50, plus tax and tip. Call 702-258-1211.
