It’s hard to maintain pizza oven perfection when you’re stuck in traffic. You know that disappointment when you get your piping hot pie home from the restaurant and the crust has devolved into a soggy mess or the cheese has gone rubbery? Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza has an answer. It sells pizza unbaked, so you can pop it in your oven at home. The once hard-to-find pizza purveyor has recently expanded, and according to the website papamurphys.com, it has nine locations in Southern Nevada. Enter any of the stores and you’ll be greeted by pizza professionals who assemble your pie in front of you to your specifications. Pick your crust (pan, signature or the delight crispy), your sauce (traditional red, creamy garlic, olive oil and garlic or herb tomato), inspect all the toppings — it’s all up to you. It even offers stuffed pizzas. In addition to expected toppings, it offers gourmet combinations such as the herb chicken Mediterranean, the chicken bacon artichoke and the Angus steak and roasted garlic. The cinnamon wheel and smores dessert pizza topped with marshmallows, brown sugar and chocolate morsels are also hits. Kids may enjoy the Mini Murph, a pint-size pizza kit complete with dough, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni that they can assemble themselves. The stores also stock salads, cheesy bread, chocolate chip cookie dough and soda. Most stores are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
