Cucumber, potato salads spotted

Bruce Feher is looking for cucumber salad and German potato salad, and fellow reader Tiffany Breinig suggested a single source for both: Cafe Heidelberg at 610 E. Sahara Ave.

Other readers suggested supermarket sources for German potato salad. Debbie Caponera said she found it at Glazier’s Food Marketplace, 8525 W. Warm Springs Road, and William G. Raley said he found Read brand at Albertsons and Smith’s and a 5-pound tub of store brand at Smart & Final. …

And we have more soup information this week. For Judi White, Christopher J. Phillips recommended the cabbage soup at the Bagel Cafe, 301 N. Buffalo Drive, and Darlene R. Gerson suggested Weiss Deli & Bakery, 2744 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, for both the soup and the potato pancakes White also is seeking. …

For John E. Glover, who’s looking for a restaurant that serves authentic chicken cacciatore, Mamie Glorioso recommended Sicilian Caffe, 3520 E. Tropicana Ave. …
