It’s been a reality TV-filled week for Penn Jillette.
On Tuesday, the Rio headliner “swapped wives” with comedian Judy Gold on ABC.
On Thursday, Sportsman Channel announced that he’ll host “Camp Stew” (8:30 p.m. July 17), a 10-episode series showcasing what a press release called “some of the craziest outdoor videos ever recorded.”
Jillette, identified in the release as “a noted firearms enthusiast and (S)econd (A)mendment advocate,” will offer commentary on videos in the categories of “Girls and Guns,” “Backyard Rambos,” “Wild Hunts and Cold Outdoors,” “Outdoor Pranks” and “Unreal Shots.”
“I’m way excited to host ‘Camp Stew,’ a show about serious outdoor fails,” Jillette said in the release. “No camera tricks, no magic, just plain funny real-life wackiness in the great outdoors.”
Added Marc Fein, executive vice president of programming and production for Sportsman Channel: “Having Penn Jillette as the host of ‘Camp Stew’ is magic!”
