‘Ghost Adventures’: 9 of the creepiest scenes from the 9th season premiere
Travel Channel is promoting the fact that the ninth season of “Ghost Adventures” (9 p.m. Saturday) kicks off with the Las Vegas-based Ghost Adventures Crew — Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin — investigating the Sharon Tate murders.
That sounds awesome.
Unfortunately, they only visit a house 200 feet away from the one in which the eight-months-pregnant actress and four others were killed in 1969 by followers of Charles Manson.
But, even though this particular house wasn’t built until decades after the shocking murder, there’s still plenty of weirdness afoot.
Here are nine of the creepiest scenes from the episode:
1) Zak and Nick are sickened by “geomagnetic anomalies.”
2) They document other “anomalies” with “anomalous energies.”
3) A burn mark appears on Nick’s chest.
4) A spirit calls Nick by name. (At least that’s what they say. Seriously, those guys have the best hearing in the world. They’re like superheroes that way.)
5) They also hear disembodied footsteps and “loud dragging sounds.”
6) Mysterious orbs of light appear.
7) Figurines fall over without provocation.
8) The home’s owner, David Oman, says, “A lot of different psychics that have been here have all said that there’s a Native American on horseback buried here in this plot of earth.” Yet that plot of earth remains curiously untouched in his basement. Honestly, who just leaves mounds of raw hillside dirt in their basement, even if it isn’t haunted by a Native American equestrian?
9) The single most-terrifying thing Zak, Nick and Aaron encounter? The home’s red shag carpeting. That’s the stuff of nightmares.
