George Clinton brings the funk to ‘American Restoration’

George Clinton’s piano. David Copperfield’s knife-throwing board. A submarine car from “The Spy Who Loved Me.”
It’s going to look like one of those celebrity theme restaurants threw up all over Rick Dale and the gang from Rick’s Restorations.
The Las Vegas-based “American Restoration” kicks off a new batch of back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. Thursday on History.
Other projects this season will include a 1976 AMF Evel Knievel bicycle, a quarter-scale model of a 1932 Hudson car, a British 1950s Ariel Square Four motorcycle and a 1900s cigar slot machine.
But the new episodes start when Clinton shows up with the flood-damaged 1923 Chickering quarter baby grand he’s written and recorded with for four decades.
