Bill Foley likes the name “Black Knights” for the NHL’s 31st team, awarded to Las Vegas as an expansion team last week, but the official name is not yet chosen.
Last year, we made a shortlist of names our readers suggested for a hockey team in Southern Nevada, but since then locals and fans nationwide have proposed hundreds more names for Las Vegas’ team.
Hey, maybe you really do want “Hockey McHockeyFace” as a team name — and that’s OK because you’ll get a chance to vote on that name.
For the next two weeks, we’re going to do a series of highly unscientific, unofficial polls (that will mean nothing) in order to nail down what you really want this team to be called.
Each day (starting today) you’ll see a post between 9 and 10 a.m. with a few polls in it. Go ahead and vote (voting for each day’s polls close at 5 p.m.).
Ready? Go ahead and vote in the polls below to get this going. Make sure to check reviewjournal.com each morning for the next set of polls.
