Nightclub & Bar Awards name Las Vegas bar ‘Sports Bar of the Year’

A Las Vegas bar took home a top prize at this year’s Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show.

The event, which recently drew 39,000 conventiongoers to Las Vegas, named Chef Emeril Lagasse’s sports bar, Lagasse’s Stadium in the Palazzo, the “2016 Sports Bar of the Year.”

Although the winners were officially announced on Nightclub & Bar’s website in February, the individual winners and venues were celebrated during an awards ceremony which took place earlier this month.

“The annual awards recognize both individuals and establishments from across the country who have demonstrated expertise in the industry, professionalism and sales success,” Nightclub & Bar Media Group said in a press release.

With games featured on more than 100 TV screens and a live betting sports book inside the bar, Lagasse’s Stadium provides sports fans with the best of both worlds — sports betting and delicious game-day foods.

Nectacly Mendoza of Las Vegas’ Herbs & Rye, a speakeasy-style bar featuring notable drinks throughout history, was also crowned “Bartender of the Year.”
