‘Inside Drone Warfare’ symposium to be held at UNLV

A symposium titled, “Inside Drone Warfare: Perspectives of Whistleblowers, Families of Drone Victims and Their Lawyers,” will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Law School at UNLV.

Organized by Veterans for Peace and Knowdrones.com, the event is open to the public.

It is being held in Las Vegas, 45 miles southeast of Creech Air Force Base, because “we would like members of the drone program there to attend the symposium,” Nick Mottern, of KnowDrones.com, said in a news release.

The list of speakers includes Christopher Aaron, a former counter-terrorism officer for the Central Intelligence Agency’s drone program, and Cian Westmoreland, former drone program communications technician, 606 Air Control Squadron and the Air Force’s 73rd Expeditionary Control Squadron.
