Simple math: If you get a DUI and cause a fatality, we deduct the speed limit from the estimated speed at the time of the crash to determine the sentence. Going 88 mph in a posted 35 mph zone will get 53 years in prison. Can’t do the time? Don’t drink and drive and slow down.
