Alec Ingold adds to Raiders’ rookie scoring barrage

Updated November 8, 2019 - 6:11 am

OAKLAND, Calif.—Raiders fullback Alec Ingold took his first reception of the season nine yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter on Thursday night.

He is the fourth rookie to score a touchdown for Oakland this season.

Fellow rookie Josh Jacobs added his seventh score of the year late in the fourth quarter to lift the Raiders to a 26-24 win over the Chargers at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

First-year players have now accounted for 13 of the Raiders’ 24 offensive touchdowns, by far the most in the league.

“It’s cool to see guys that are getting the opportunities and making the most out of them,” Ingold said. “Everyone on this team is trying to get better. There is a youth movement, that is for sure here and guys are pushing each other to get better. The more opportunities that arise, the more guys are taking advantage.”

The Redskins are second with six rookie scores.

Tight end Foster Moreau has three touchdowns and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has scored twice.
