LETTER: Abuse story should be an alert for parents

In response to the Thursday story “Ex-cop gets 25 life sentences” for abusing a woman, now 21, over 11 years: What a horrid 11 years for this young lady to carry for a lifetime. Within this long, long time, had not the parents noticed her association with a man much older?

This is an alert for parents to know their children’s contacts and companions. Communicate. Communicate. Communicate.
