In response to the Friday letter from Michael Pennock comparing the religious belief that same-sex marriage is wrong to racial discrimination:

For a Christian, a sincere belief is based on God’s word, the Bible. There is nothing in God’s word that says blacks are inferior to whites, so that belief is not a Christian belief. Knowing the Bible is how one can tell whether one holds a sincere Christian religious belief.
