Two men were hospitalized after being shotTuesday night at a house party in east Las Vegas. The shooting occurred about 10:50 p.m. at a home on Buck Island Street, near Owens Avenue and Sloan Lane. Police blocked off the neighborhood around Owens Avenue and Sloan Lane while they investigated. Police said all suspects are in custody. The two men ended up at UMC with wounds to their legs, Both were expected to survive their injuries.

Samantha O’Brien, whose three-year-old daughter attended the Calvary Christian Learning Academy daycare, found out Monday night when her daughter’s teacher called about the school closing.
A woman who was killed in a crash Monday was pregnant. Monique K. Leiwalo, 29, was due to give birth in May. She was driving on Rainbow when her car was rear-ended. The impact sent her car crashing into a pole, killing her. Police arrested 26-year-old Timothy Naas on suspicion of DUI in the crash. “We didn’t just lose her, we lost my nephew to-be,” her sister, Jasmine Leiwalo, said.

Las Vegas Aces guard/forward Sequoia Holmes played basketball with visually impaired youth Tuesday, talking with them about her love of basketball and their college plans.
Brandon McCoy was expected to be a one-and-done player when he committed to UNLV. McCoy was named the Mountain West’s Freshman of the Year, setting conference freshman records for scoring (16.9 points per game) and rebounding (10.3) He finished third in the nation among freshmen and 11th overall with 18 double-doubles, which led the league. He averaged 1.7 blocks and made 55 percent of his shots for a UNLV team that finished 20-13, ending its season with a loss to UNR in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
The Golden Knights clinched a playoff spot Monday night, and now officials are revealing how fans can get tickets. The hottest tickets in town are going on sale Monday morning on the Golden Knights website. There will be less than 1,000 tickets made available for public sale at 10 a.m. Monday. Las Vegas home prices climbed in the Las Vegas Valley last year amid strong demand and plunging availability. The biggest price jumps were in older, more centrally located areas of the valley. Even with its damaged mailbox, peeling stucco, overgrown yards and obscene graffiti this North Las Vegas home’s value has shot up more than fivefold. For three years the highest median sales price has been $385,000 in Summerlin’s 89138 ZIP code. As the market heats up, some buyers are getting priced out of certain areas and are gravitating toward more affordable homes.

the apparel company. Aaron Judge Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal includes branding on his batting gloves and wristbands. Judge, the AL’s reigning Rookie of the Year, was previously under contract with Under Armour since 2014. Judge won the American League Rookie of the Year award last season after setting an MLB record for most homers in a rookie season (52).

Massive Shopping Mall Fire in Russia Kills More Than 60 People At least 64 children in a shopping center in the Siberian city of Kemerovo were killed. An entire class of schoolchildren reportedly died in the fire. Some of the children called their family to say goodbye, before dying in the fire. “We are burning, perhaps this is goodbye.” A child victim wrote on social media Investigators said there was no alarm and exists were blocked.
