The strip mall, Cheyenne Commons, was foreclosed on last year and has plenty of tenants but also several vacancies. The neighboring apartment complex, The Grove, has soared in value. It sold for $34.5 million in November, after trading for $19.5 million just two years ago.

1. Two people were shot after a man and police exchanged gunfire Monday night. Police say they tried to pull over a suspect in a Honda from a Sunday shooting when he took them on a chase. When the man bailed from the car, he shot toward officers two to three times and officers returned fire. The man was struck multiple times and a woman in the Honda was shot in the wrist, though police believe the suspect was the one that shot her. The man is in critical condition.

2. Police are looking for suspects in an attempted robbery at an east valley Walmart. Witnesses say masked robbers with handguns demanded money from store employees and four fled in a light-colored newer sedan at about 10 a.m. Monday before officers arrived. 3. A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of Clark County. The National Weather Service warning area covers northeast Clark County and the Lake Mead recreation area through 9:45 a.m. with a flash flood watch extending through 8 p.m. Tuesday. Meteorologist Reid Wolcott says rain should clear out this afternoon.

1. Part of Las Vegas Boulevard was shut down overnight after a fire on the roof of the Bellagio Hotel. The roof of a few shops near the famed fountain caught fire but burned for under half an hour. Nobody was injured and no hotel rooms were affected. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
2. Wal-Mart will be investing millions of dollars into 3 Las Vegas Valley properties. Wal-Mart on Serene near Eastern will be remodeled, along with Sam’s Club on Arroyo Crossing Parkway near Rainbow and Sam’s Club on Craig Road near Losee Road. The update and remodels are a part of a wave of renovations by the company.
3. A brothel owner has plans for a Raiders-themed property near Las Vegas. Dennis Hof’s seventh brothel has the planned name of Pirate’s Booty Sports Brothel and says the location could be “the official prostitution provider to one of the NFL’s most storied franchises.”

A suspect tried to rob the Walmart in Charleston Commons on Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas. The suspect ran to a dentist office in the same complex where he barricaded himself in the bathroom. He was taken into custody by police without incident.
