The 90th Oscars Were the Least Watched in History According to The Hollywood Reporter, 26.5 million watched the Oscars, a 20 percent drop from last year. The 26.5 million viewers would be an all-time low for the Oscars. Overnight returns had the lengthy ABC telecast averaging a 18.9 rating among households between 8 and 11 p.m. ET. Last year, 32.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the ceremony. The previous low for viewership was 32 million viewers in 2008 when Jon Stewart was host. The Shape of Water picked up an award for Best Picture, while Gary Oldman and Frances McDormand won Best Actor and Actress, respectively.

Super Bowl LII Ratings Hit Eight-Year Low According to The Programming Insider, Sunday’s big game scored a 47.4 in overnight household ratings, which is down three percent from last year. The game was up nine percent in metered market results from Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. But is the lowest rated Super Bowl since XLIV back in 2010. This year’s Bowl ranks No. 9 overall and No. 3 out of those hosted by NBC.
“Pawn Stars” will air its 500th episode on Monday at 10 p.m. on History. “Pawn Stars” debuted July 26, 2009. After completing the first season, Corey was about to tell his father and grandfather that he didn’t think all the additional work was worth the meager uptick in business. “The show definitely hit at the right time. It couldn’t have been a better time for it to hit,” Corey says. “Oh, no. I was hoping for a season or two and hoping it would help out business,” says Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owner Rick Harrison. “I never thought it would turn into this.”
Looks like some Texas houses wont be getting fixed up anymore. The hit HGTV show “Fixer Upper” just announced it is ending after this season. The hosts, Chip and Joanna Gaines, made the announcement on their website. It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that season 5 of Fixer Upper will be our last. While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with.
