The city said his ouster had to do with mailers regarding the police foundation, and classified Moers’ departure as “voluntary.” But sexual harassment allegations against the Police Department aren’t limited to the investigation of Moers. Although no names were given, several police officers have said that sexual harassment is rampant throughout the department. Sources also told the Review-Journal that Assistant City Manager Greg Blackburn is the subject of a sexual harassment investigation in Henderson. Victimized Henderson employees won’t speak up for fear of losing their jobs, multiple sources told the Review-Journal. 1. The co-owner of two Las Vegas Strip bars is accused of sexual harassment. The Nevada Equal Rights Commission will hear testimony today regarding Yakov “Jackie” Hefetz, a co-owner of Fat Tuesdays, who is accused of slapping a female staffer’s behind and simulating sex acts behind another female staffer. An attorney representing the company said a settlement has not been reached.

2. A man seeking casual sex at a Las Vegas hotel was instead robbed and stabbed in the face. Police reports say a man went to the Wild Wild West to meet a woman he met on the Craigslist’s “Casual Encounters” page. The man went to the woman’s room, where he was cornered by two men. The man was later stabbed in the jaw by one of the men. One man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

3. Fremont Street officials have added new security features following a deadly car attack in Barcelona. Yellow jersey barriers line major crossings around Fremont Street. Clark County is expediting a similar project for the Las Vegas Strip, with 700 steel bollards expected to be installed by early October.
