The Golden Knights will host the 1980 Miracle on Ice team – VIDEO

The Knights this week will honor that “Miracle on Ice” team that won a gold medal at those Olympics, four decades removed from its stunning win against the Soviets and then beating Finland in the final. The game against the Soviets was named by Sports Illustrated in 1999 as the top sports moment of the 20th century. The weekend kicks off with a two-hour Golden Knights season-ticket holder event on Friday night at Brooklyn Bowl. Then, a fan event Relive the Miracle is Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. That night, the team will be honored at the Golden Knights-Florida Panthers game at T-Mobile Arena.
