A GoFundMe page was set up for 5-year-old Kamari Jordan Wolfe who was killed Friday when his mom was dropping him off at Somer-set Academy. the donation page raised over $20,000 by Sunday afternoon to help with expenses associated with the boy’s death.
The Las Vegas Victims’ Fund campaign on GoFundMe created a new record on the site. The campaign holds more than $11.6 million. Last year, the largest GoFundMe campaign was supporting victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando Florida, which raised just over $7.8 million. “We have a very generous spirit of giving in the community, and that was seen following the Oct. 1 tragedy,” said Julie Murray, principal and CEO of the Las Vegas-based Moonridge Group.

In response to the mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo stressed the need for blood donations The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said United Blood Service and University Medical Center are the best places to donate blood. Because of the large response and long lines, appointments are recommended. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist the victims and families affected in the shooting.
