After nine years, the Hydrant Club in downtown Las Vegas is closing its brick-and-mortar location but not because business has slowed.
The unofficial state flower, the orange traffic cone, will be plentiful in Southern Nevada in 2023 as there will be no shortage of road projects in the Las Vegas Valley.
Just as the project budget for the initial work to complete Allegiant Stadium is closed out, several million dollars worth of improvements are planned for the $2 billion facility.
The locals-focused casino chain aims to build a 600-room project in Henderson’s Inspirada community that would feature an 80,000-square-foot casino floor and 30,000 square feet of meeting space. It would also include restaurants, a bowling alley and a movie theater.
“The smell is something you have to get used to,” explains Erin Kmit as she takes the lid off said apparatus, which is a Tupperware container filled with sunset moths whose suns have set, individually arranged between sheets of paper towel that double as insect funeral shrouds.

The recent decline in rates “has been large,” but homebuyer sentiment “remains low with no major positive reaction in purchase demand.”
