Both fighters involved in the main event of the Sept. 16 boxing event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, weighed in and faced off at the MGM Grand on Friday.

The co-main event for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin boxing event will now feature Joseph Diaz vs. Rafael Rivera. Diaz’s original opponent, Jorge Lara, withdrew citing a back injury days prior to the Sept. 16 fight.

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady “Triple G” Golovkin arrived at MGM Grand on Tuesday. This is Alvarez’s biggest challenge since he lost to Floyd Mayweather in 2013. Golovkin has said said he wants to remembered like Marvin Hagler and Sugar Ray Leonard. The two square off in a middleweight title fight on September 16.
