Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will end its twice-weekly nonstop round-trip flights between Harry Reid International Airport and Reno-Tahoe International Airport in January, according to a representative of the Reno airport.

Allegiant Air’s top executives had big drops in compensation last year amid lower profits. Chairman and CEO Maurice “Maury” Gallagher received about $2.3 million in total compensation, down 35 percent from 2016. Allegiant President John Redmond received around $1.86 million, down 82 percent, and Scott Sheldon, chief operating and financial officer, received $1.9 million, down 37 percent. Allegiant’s profits fell 11 percent last year, and executives’ compensation dropped even further due to smaller bonuses and stock awards.
