The forecast weekend temperatures are “quite a bit above average for this time of year,” said Alex Boothe, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
The status quo of the seldom-changing Las Vegas winter weather will continue for at least another week.
Depending on where you’re going this holiday weekend, the temperature could even be “a little bit above normal,” according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front will bring gusts up to 35 mph in Las Vegas late Thursday into Friday. Some snow is likely in the Spring Mountains. Lincoln County will see winds up to 50 mph.
Sunny skies and near normal temperatures are forecast for the Las Vegas Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday before a minor storm front moves in Thursday evening with a chance for precipitation.
The Las Vegas Valley may see its first rainfall of the year this week.
“For the most part, we’re looking at temperatures slightly below normal pretty much through Monday,” said John Salmen, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
A cold front moved through the Las Vegas Valley late Thursday, kicking up wind gusts to 30 mph. The winds should die down by late afternoon for a sunny, albeit cool weekend.

It’s going to be a pleasant week for weather, according to the National Weather Service, as CES 2020 comes to Las Vegas.
Saturday’s high temperature is forecast at 60 degrees, while Sunday’s high will likely reach 61. Next weekend could bring cooler temperatures – dropping five to 10 degrees.
