3 die, others hurt in Grand Canyon helicopter crash

A helicopter operated by a Boulder City-based tour company crashed Saturday evening in the Grand Canyon, killing three and critically injuring four, according to police. Seven people were on board the copter belonging to Boulder City-based Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters.

Coroner IDs Las Vegas apartment fire victim

He was Edward J. Delgado, 73, of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner’s office said. He died of inhaling combustion products, and his death was ruled an accident.

Man shot at by officer Tuesday shot himself in head, police say

Police didn’t yet know if either of Martin’s two bullets struck Alan Keith Baker, 42, but police know Baker shot himself in the head, Assistant Sheriff Charles Hank said. Baker was hospitalized at University Medical Center and was on life support Thursday afternoon, Hank said.

Suspect identified in police shooting in northwest Las Vegas

An officer shot at a man who was threatening to harm himself and pointed a gun at officers, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The suspect faces two counts of assault on a protected person with a deadly weapon, jail records show.
