A 27-year-old man faces DUI charges after a crash seriously injured a Las Vegas police officer early on New Year’s Day, booking records show.

Police were called about 6:50 p.m. to the crash near East Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane, east of Nellis Boulevard, said Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Goodwin.
The crash happened in front of Station 9, at West Lone Mountain Road and North Rainbow Boulevard, according to a a tweet from the department sent at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
