UNLV roundup: Women’s tennis blanks Weber State

The UNLV women’s tennis team notched its third straight shutout, beating Weber State 4-0 on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
UNLV (3-2) won the two completed doubles matches for the first point, then quickly got straight-set singles wins from Nives Pavlovic (No.3), Ella Bourchier (No. 5) and Alexis Garrett (No. 6). Because of travel concerns, the final three singles matches weren’t completed.
■ SOFTBALL — UNLV lost to Minnesota 4-0 in the finale of the Sportco Kick-Off Classic at Eller Media Stadium. The Rebels (2-3) were coming off a 10-6 loss to Texas Tech late Saturday night.
■ TRACK AND FIELD — At Albuquerque, N.M., Corey Honeycutt and Emily Blok led the UNLV track and field team at the Don Kirby Open on Saturday, with Honeycutt winning the 800-meter run and Blok taking second in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes.
