UNLV may be light on safetys for Saturday’s game

UNLV’s football team is hurting at safety.

Marquel Martin appears to have a concussion, and Alex De Giacomo has a hamstring injury.

Martin might not play in Saturday’s noon PST game at Wyoming, and Travis Dixon already has been moved back ahead of him at free safety. More should be known on De Giacomo later this week, but coaches are listing Chris Jones as the starter at strong safety after previously calling that a shared position.

Also, wide receiver Rodelin Anthony is all but out because of a concussion. He isn’t even listed on the two-deep roster, and might not make the trip.
