Jerry Rice’s son announces plans to play football for UNLV

Jerry Rice Jr., son of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, tweeted Friday he will transfer to UNLV.
Rice Jr., a senior, should be eligible to play this fall because he will graduate from UCLA on Sunday.
He has nine career catches for 69 yards, but the Rebels could use the help at receiver, which lacks depth behind junior starters Devante Davis and Marcus Sullivan, who combined to catch 116 passes for 1,513 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
