SPECIAL TEAMS: There still is plenty of uncertainty regarding who will handle field-goal and extra-point duties, but Ben Jaekle’s progress Wednesday from back surgery could begin to clear up some of it. Jaekle and Kyle Watson are battling for the job, and coaches haven’t decided whether to split between short and long attempts, as they did last year.
