UNLV football recruiting winds down

With most of its recruiting finished and problems with logistics, UNLV will not welcome recruits to town this weekend, coach Mike Sanford said.

Sanford, who is on the road recruiting, said he planned to leave Saturday for the American Football Coaches Association convention, which begins Sunday morning in Nashville, Tenn.

This appears to be Sanford’s best recruiting class. Scout.com ranks the Rebels’ class behind the Mountain West Conference big three of Brigham Young, Utah and Texas Christian.

Also, don’t expect any staff changes unless coaches receive job offers at more high-profile schools. Some are in contention for such positions.
