Wyoming gets by Lady Rebels

The UNLV women’s basketball team scored just 17 points in the second half, losing to Wyoming 50-44 Wednesday night in a Mountain West Conference game at Cox Pavilion.

The Lady Rebels (10-15, 3-9 MWC), who led 27-23 at halftime, went 6-for-29 (20.7 percent) from the floor in the final 20 minutes.

Erica Helms led UNLV with 14 points, and Shamela Hampton scored 12. Wyoming’s Hillary Carlson had 18 points.
