UNLV aide Hill remains hospitalized

UNLV men’s basketball assistant coach Lew Hill remained in a local hospital Wednesday and was undergoing tests for an undisclosed health complication.

Hill collapsed in the locker room Tuesday night after the Rebels’ 68-66 overtime loss to San Diego State at the Thomas & Mack Center.

According to a UNLV statement, Hill, 43, underwent diagnostic testing, and all results were normal. He was expected to be released Wednesday night or today.

Hill spent the entire game on the bench. He clutched his chest as he was wheeled to an ambulance after the game.

Hill has been an assistant coach at UNLV since Lon Kruger took over the program five years ago.
